Reiki is a natural and safe Japanese technique used for stress reduction, relaxation
and healing. Pronounced ray-kee, in Japanese it means "Universal Life-Force Energy," and was created by Dr. Mikao Usui of
Japan,
Reiki is an energy therapy intended to affect the biofield that surrounds and
infuses the body. This treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you, and is intended
to promote physical, emotional and spiritual well-being.
Reiki practitioners transmit energy by a light touch, placing their hands gently
in specific positions on the body. During and after your treatment you may experience feelings
of peace, relaxation, calm, security and over all well-being. This is normal and should be embraced.

Specialty Training
Derek Arsenault has dealt with a large number of people in his years in the industry. These clients include: Business
people, policeman, firefighters, amateur and elite athletes, teachers, doctors, physiotherapists, massage therapists, lawyers,
older adults and children.
Three of Derek's specialties are Sports Conditioning, Kids Fitness and Job-Specific Conditioning.
Sports Conditioning: Involves working with athletes to improve their performance during competition
and improve lifestyle habits outside of the game. Sports conditioning can include such conditioning as;
- SAQ (Speed, Agility, Quickness)
- Strength
- Explosiveness / Power
- Muscular Endurance
- Anaerobic & aerobic cardiovascular conditioning
- Nervous System Activation
- Efficient Movement patterns
- Increased Energy
- Injury Prevention
- Core Strength & Stability
- Proprioception / Balance Training
and more!
Job-Specific Conditioning: Includes many of the same aspects as sports conditioning however,
transfers more specifically to the clients work environment. Job-specific conditioning is important for almost all those
in the work force, including:
- Firefighters
- Paramedics
- Police officers
- Doctors
- Nurses
- Nutritionists
- Physiotherapists
- Massage Therapists
- Teachers
- Office workers
And so many more!
*Job-specific conditioning is vital especially for those with physically demanding jobs and jobs that involve working with
people* Kids Fitness: Kids need to be active! In today's obesity epidemic, it is vital that we
as adults are role models for today's youth, in order to create a healthy and active future for them. Kids fitness is very
simple. Combining play and learning together. All that is needed is participation from the kids. This is an area that I am
increasingly becoming more active in, and an area of fitness/health that I am very passionate about.
